She was scared, as was everyone else with her. Soon enough, a green, painted caterpillar crawled up onto Xowlin's finger.  "Alright, the coast is clear," Xowlin whispered to the group. Well it's not a secret that I haven't churned out any new pictures in a long while, so I figured what the hell. After several long months of being uninspired I figured I'd pop in Pirates of the Carribean to see what I could come up with. Low & Behold there my inspiration began to flow once again.

So without further delay I would like to announce that I'll be working on several Pirates of the Carribean pieces from 1, 2 & 3.
They are however pictures that no one has worked on yet.
:For example:
Jack Sparrow w/ his sword ready as he's being swallowed up by the Kraken.
William Turner holding the wheel of the Flying Dutchman, as he's revealed to be the new captain for the first time (the scar is kickass).
Barbossa at the end of POTC2 w/ Jack on his shoulder, as he's about to bite into a delicious Granny Smith (green) apple.
Jack Sparrow along side Davy Jones as he's been traded for William Turner by "King" Elizabeth Swwan on a small beach before the final throw down between the Flying Dutchman & the Black Pearl.


Not only that but I've recently acquired Sweeney Todd into my collection and as you guessed it I am going to be working on several pieces from that as well. Although I haven't figured out which sequence of pictures to use just yet, I can assure you they will most likely involve a scene in which blood is the star.

One may say to themselves "man all those movies have Johnny Depp in them" well all I have to say to that is he's a phenomenal actor, who puts all of himself in each of his roles. It pretty much makes the helps me more in getting the feel for the picture I'm working on.

Anywho, I'll have these pieces done as soon as i can, expect a Sweeney Todd picture out before any of the others however considering the music is much easier to get into. You should check out Epiphany, good song.

As for those who were in the "Pick Your Poison" if anyone would like to pick up where I left off feel free to send me a note saying so and I'll give you everything I have. Granted you'll need to contact the remaining contestants to let them know what's going on.

For now what's best for me is to put my mind into my own art rather than this contest

The original date was Monday but since I wasn't even in town Monday and my hotel didn't have internet access so i could communicate while i was out of town I couldn't tell anyone anything. That and the entire weekend was more of an anniversary of a horrible day in my life so i didn't feel like talking to anyone anyway. But i had to wait until i got back to say anything. In all fairness the contestants get about 3 weeks to complete their entries and judging thus far has been going on for 2 weeks <<

But the judging will be done by this Sunday and next I'll be tossing around several ideas for the next rounds poison.

I don't mind the wait so much as there not being a set-in-stone date for the judging to be complete. I'm just saying.. judging shouldn't take over a week, but if it does then that's fine. But if it takes longer than that (which it has) then I don't think it's fair to contestants. Contestants only have a set amount of time to produce works. The judges have far less to do than contestants, so why should they be given an extension twice as long as what a contestant gets? ..Eh. Don't mind me. I just think this is being carried out rather sloppily and there should be a cut-off date for judges to get their votes in.

it generally takes about a week or two in most contest for the judging to finish completely. But if you feel that way then I apologize to you for the lack of notification
